THE ASSUMPTIONS STAY VISIBLE

A target is useful only if your stock can reach it.

In this example, an average unit sells for CAD 28, costs CAD 9 to make and has a fictional zero payment fee. Contribution is CAD 19. CAD 125 in event costs plus CAD 150 of chosen labor value needs 15 units to break even. A CAD 200 profit target needs 25 units.

01 / BELOW TARGET

Only 20 units available?

Selling all 20 would leave CAD 105 after event costs and the chosen labor value. The CAD 200 target exceeds that stock capacity.

02 / WITHIN CAPACITY

Bring 25 units?

Selling all 25 would leave CAD 200 after those costs. It reaches the target only if every unit sells under the stated assumptions.

03 / NO POSITIVE MARGIN

Cost and fees use up the price?

The tool shows that there is no positive contribution. It does not invent a break-even sales target.

These are stock-capacity calculations, not demand forecasts. Taxes are excluded. Enter your actual fee estimate and your own assumptions.

ONE FILE · WORKS OFFLINE

Start with the event you actually worked.

Import a BoothClose version 1 JSON export to bring in the previous event’s blended sales, goods cost and recorded fees. Then change the assumptions for the next event. Your files stay on your device.

Includes the offline HTML tool, save and restore, JSON backup, a printable plan and short instructions. CAD and USD are display labels. The earlier event’s average mix is a starting point, not a recommendation for each item.

Before the market. After the market.

MarketPlan compares your assumptions before booking. BoothClose checks the cash, stock and result afterward. Neither tool connects to a processor, calculates your taxes or guarantees an event result.
